Multiple 911 calls flooded into the Carroll County Central Dispatch reporting gunfire in the 6300 block. Just like that, a peaceful summer night turned into every family’s worst nightmare.
When first responders pulled up to the scene, they found 19-year-old Dallas W. Winger-Gant suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency crews from across the area rushed in, doing everything they possibly could to save his life. But despite their best efforts, the young Lafayette resident was pronounced dead right there at the scene.
Word of Dallas’s sudden passing spread like wildfire back home in Lafayette, leaving relatives and friends completely stunned. At just 19 years old, Dallas was at the start of his adult life, surrounded by people who cared about him deeply.
