It was supposed to be just another late afternoon drive along the quiet rural roads northeast of Marion, Indiana. Sandra Beouy, a 55-year-old local resident, was sitting in the passenger seat of a Jeep around 4:30 p.m. on May 8. Nothing about that sunny spring afternoon signaled the sudden tragedy waiting just around the bend.
