Quinteria Reaves was just going about her day before a normal Friday morning turned completely upside down. The 29-year-old local resident lost her life in a sudden accident that has local folks talking.

It all went down on Ross Clark Circle, a massive road that loops all the way around the city. It is a busy highway hub sitting right down in southeastern Alabama near the Florida state line.

Around 4 a.m., the local roads are usually quiet but incredibly dark. Quinteria was trying to cross the 600 block of the circle when a passing vehicle suddenly struck her.

Emergency crews got the call and rushed over to the scene within minutes. They did everything they possibly could to save her life right there on the pavement.

Sadly, her injuries were just too severe for her to pull through. First responders had to pronounce the young woman dead right there at the crash site.

The news traveled fast through the area, leaving friends and family completely heartbroken. The Dothan Police Department shared a kind statement asking the community to keep Quinteria’s loved ones in their prayers.

Right now, a local family is left dealing with an empty chair at the family table. It is a harsh reminder of how fast things can change on the roads we drive every single day.
