When crew members stepped inside the residence shortly before 5 p.m., they came across a tragic scene. Cindy was lying dead inside the house she called home.
Realizing something was seriously wrong, first responders immediately called in the Pima County Sheriff’s Department for help. Patrol deputies arrived at the scene and took a close look at the surrounding environment. Homicide unit detectives were quickly brought in to take over the scene. They noticed clear signs of physical trauma on Cindy’s body alongside other concerning physical evidence that turned a wellness check into an active murder investigation.
