It was a quiet Sunday morning when a sudden tragedy turned a family’s world completely upside down. Andre Akin, a 33-year-old resident of Buffalo, New York, lost his life in a devastating crash on the New York State Thruway. The terrible scene unfolded around 4:30 a.m. on Interstate 90 eastbound in the town of Evans. Andre was behind the wheel of his 2023 Kia sedan, traveling through the early morning stillness.
