Saturday morning was supposed to be just another quiet weekend start in West Palm Beach, Florida. The sun was not even up yet, and the early roads were mostly empty. Eury Abreu Herrera was out on his 2023 Suzuki GSXR-1000, enjoying the cool morning air along Southern Boulevard. At 33 years old, Eury was a man who brought endless energy, laughter, and real warmth to everyone around him. Nobody on that road could have known that in just a few heartbeats, a peaceful morning ride would turn into an absolute nightmare.
Friends and family members knew Eury as the kind of person who always showed up for the people he loved. He built deep connections throughout his local community, leaving a positive mark everywhere he went. Around 5:00 a.m., Eury was heading westbound down the 8100 block of Southern Boulevard. He was riding comfortably in his lane, heading toward his destination as the city slowly began to wake up. The stretch of highway seemed completely open, with very little traffic around at that hour.
That calm shattered in an instant near the 8199 block of Southern Boulevard. Out of nowhere, a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado pulled out from a nearby parking lot. Instead of staying tight to the curb, the massive pickup truck executed a wide right turn right across the active lanes of traffic.
Eury had almost zero time to react to the huge vehicle blocking his path. His Suzuki struck the left rear section of the Chevrolet Silverado with devastating force. The sheer impact threw Eury completely off his bike, launching him into the eastbound lanes of the highway.
First responders rushed onto the scene within minutes, doing everything humanly possible to save the young rider. Paramedics worked quickly under the early morning streetlights, trying to stabilize him right there on the asphalt. Tragically, the injuries were far too severe. Eury was pronounced dead at 5:06 a.m., just six short minutes after the collision happened.
The sudden news sent shockwaves through the West Palm Beach area as word spread to his family and close friends. Grief quickly settled over everyone who held Eury dear to their hearts.
